As luck would have it, last week I was able to spend a brief few days off in San Francisco. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting that lovely city many times for work but I have not always had the opportunity to relax and wander the neighborhoods on my own. This time I did take advantage of my hiatus and took a quick walk to the Castro in hopes of some enthralling people watching. It was an unusually mellow afternoon and I had the rare opportunity to witness the main street devoid of exhibitionists. It felt like a regular Thursday afternoon (which it was).
I love the look of this iconic sign in classic black and white. San Francisco in the 1940s isn’t so far off after all.
